Miss Michelle | Boudoir, Oliver BC

Tuesday, May 29th, 2012

Back in March my good friend Michelle and I did a swap. Yes, we spent the day together in our undies. No, unfortunately we did not need an assistant, but I appreciate the amount of men that offered to hold fans and reflectors.

Michelle and I met in a very interesting way, (the power of social media!) and not only do I have the upmost respect for her as a photographer, but also as a friend. I’m so happy that she is allowing me to share these photos. She’s a wonderful friend, photographer and mama. I love her like a love song ;)

Go check out her site at www.mregnerphotoblog.com and her boudoir page here, boudoir.mregnerphoto.com

Despite the really great results (in my opinion at least!) there is a reason photographers don’t take pictures of their own kids…

Danielle’s Baby Bump | Vernon BC

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

In honor of Danielle’s due date, I’m sharing her maternity teasers. She is one beautiful and sexy pregnant woman as evidenced by the photos ;)

(Here’s hoping these teasers make that baby want to make an apperance!)

Happy Due Date!

Kerina’s Baby Bump | Lumby BC

Friday, July 8th, 2011

My cousin Kerina is due to have her first baby in September. She lives about 12 hours from me so when she came for a visit we made plans to take some pictures of that beautiful belly. Not only does Kerina photograph like a dream, she was perfectly pregnant :) We had way too much fun out in the grass, and I’m ashamed to say I may have clung to her arm for dear life when I saw a snake (Did you get any bruises Kerina?). Seriously if it had been coming toward us I would have ditched her and just ran. I’m the worst.

Big thank you goes out to our Auntie Sheila for (once again) letting me use her property for photos :)

Hands down, the photo on the left will be on my new MOO business cards.

Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous!

Growing up Kerina and I always got mistaken for twins. I never saw it. She’s like 3 feet taller than me, totally different body shapes, she has brown eyes, I have blue eyes (I mean, we’re both beautiful, but c’mon)…It wasn’t until I saw the picture on the right on my computer that I was like “HOLY CRAP! WE DO LOOK ALIKE!”

Horses just seem to find me. I must have a gift.

Congratulations Kerina and Lance! I can’t wait to meet him/her! I know you two will make fantastic parents.

Ali + Travis’s Engagement| Vernon BC

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

One of my favourite things about photographing friends’ engagements is seeing them genuinely happy. Ali is very happy. She radiates happiness and it’s infectious. I think we giggled through the whole session. And on more than one occasion I actually said “WE’RE CREATING PURE MAGIC PEOPLE!” Not only were Ali and Travis easy going and beautiful, but they both just knew what to do. I rarely had to give any instruction. He’d move and she’d move.  Working with them (if you can call it that) was a dream :) I’m very happy for you Ali! Welcome to family Travis!

Mmmm Mmmm Mmmmm look at that light…

This was just them. I told them to walk and told them to stop because I thought I’d got the shot. I was wrong. NOW I got the shot ;)

Wishing you both the very best in your lives together! Much love :)

Four Generations- Leroux Family | Enderby BC

Monday, April 4th, 2011

Not even a downpour was going to stop our photo session! But we found this really fantastic indoor-ish location and created some lasting memories. The Leroux family wanted to have a four generation session with the man who started it all. I can tell that they all adore him, and I can see why! He still has a great sense of humour and I can tell that he loves his family deeply. Lots of hugs, lots of squeezes and a bunch of smiles.

Helping Hearts

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

I am very proud to be a member of Helping Hearts, an organization offering free of charge photography sessions to families with sick or disabled children. If you’d like to learn more about what we do visit the site!  http://helping-hearts.ca/

Jessica Rae, (website here: CLICK ME ) a jewellery designer as well as a Helping Hearts photographer designed these keychains. I loved it so much I snapped it up right away. However…if you’ve seen my keys…I look like a janitor. I think I have 8 keys as well as 3 key rings so…it’s a little crowded and I thought this was too special to be floating around the bottom of my purse….

So I turned it into a necklace!

A close up of the lovely design

I’m very happy to be able to give back through photography. And I’ll be wearing my necklace proud

The Neilson Family | Vernon BC

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

This is embarrassing to admit, but I’ve never been to Kal Park…I know, I’ve lived here all my life and yet, have never been. The Neilson family and I made a small(ish) hike and found a few beautiful spots overlooking Kalamalka Lake. So a big thank you to them for taking me someplace new :)

They’re such a gorgeous family it wasn’t hard to get a good picture of them! Oh, and I can’t forget a super cute pup!

Below is my FAVOURITE photo!

I love the next series….

Andrew & Julia Allen Couples | Predator Ridge, Vernon BC

Friday, December 24th, 2010

What do you get when you mix my camera, Andrew Allen and his lovely wife Julia, Christmas lights, Predator Ridge, and the threat of a cougar?? Well…pretty much the best shoot ever. I owe a big thank you to Andrew and Julia for putting up with me. They are such great people and even better together. Andrew even sang a little tune (“Oh the weather outside is frightfull….” ) and minutes before the shoot I was told a cougar was spotted in the area! Lucky for us we left unscathed and  with some pretty great pictures :)

Oh, and Andrew makes a little music. Don’t know if you heard. Check him out here: http://www.andrewallenlive.com/

My favourtie!…

I think this one makes a pretty great Christmas card :P
