Friday, May 25th, 2012Siona’s Trash The Dress | Vernon BC
Wednesday, July 13th, 2011On July 10th I met up with Siona and Jeff for their anniversary Trash the Dress shoot. We realized that I’ve photographed them 3 times…ALWAYS been in the same spot
Kind of fitting non?
Here’s to Jeff and Siona on their 1 year wedding anniversary! (CLICK HERE to see their Wedding Post!)
Could she be any more beautiful!?!?! My lord Jeff is a lucky man
Oh yes. This happened.
Kerina’s Baby Bump | Lumby BC
Friday, July 8th, 2011My cousin Kerina is due to have her first baby in September. She lives about 12 hours from me so when she came for a visit we made plans to take some pictures of that beautiful belly. Not only does Kerina photograph like a dream, she was perfectly pregnant
We had way too much fun out in the grass, and I’m ashamed to say I may have clung to her arm for dear life when I saw a snake (Did you get any bruises Kerina?). Seriously if it had been coming toward us I would have ditched her and just ran. I’m the worst.
Big thank you goes out to our Auntie Sheila for (once again) letting me use her property for photos
Hands down, the photo on the left will be on my new MOO business cards.
Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous!
Growing up Kerina and I always got mistaken for twins. I never saw it. She’s like 3 feet taller than me, totally different body shapes, she has brown eyes, I have blue eyes (I mean, we’re both beautiful, but c’mon)…It wasn’t until I saw the picture on the right on my computer that I was like “HOLY CRAP! WE DO LOOK ALIKE!”
Horses just seem to find me. I must have a gift.
Congratulations Kerina and Lance! I can’t wait to meet him/her! I know you two will make fantastic parents.

Monday, June 6th, 2011Layla’s 2nd Birthday {Vintage Cowgirl}
Monday, May 2nd, 20112 years ago I gave birth to my very own baby girl. I had all sorts of hopes and dreams that she’d want to play with barbies and like girlie things like ponies and shoes. Well, so far she has not disappointed. Layla is all about anything pink and sparkly. She LOVES kitty’s and horses. She especially likes her dolls and babies. Layla is tad dramatic. I have no idea where she gets this from. After 3 years of boy, it’s been an absolute pleasure having a girl. I love how different she is from her brother. I love how happy she is to see Aidan and how upset she is to see him go. I love how her lips are forever a dark pink, and how her eyes take up the majority of her face. I love how I’ll find her talking to her toys, and I love how she will hug me for no reason. I can almost tolerate the tantrums. I love her giggle and I REALLY love the kisses.
For her 2nd birthday we decided to have a cowgirl birthday! We rounded up all our favourite cowpokes and had a hoedown at the Courts Ranch. My mother in law made these fantastic hobby horses for the kids, and Charlene Beer from Fairytale Faces came out and did some incredible work on the kids! I cannot talk more highly of her! She was absolutely fantastic! I urge you to visit her blog at http://fairytalefacepaint.blogspot.com/ and book her ASAP! You won’t regret it. I think she made the party.
Major snaps go out to my cousin Chris for braving a raging case of hay fever to bring me some hay bails from my uncles farm. And a huge thank you to all of our friends and family who came out to celebrate!
***Not all photos are by me. My mom was there snapping away too! All photos with a * at the comment are courtesy of Bev Charest
*Layla, already having a great time on her birthday!
Two of the cutest little lady’s around!
Birthday Girl

*Layla’s WANTED poster reads “WANTED for CRIMES including mischievous grins, wild child antics and being a sneaky sister”

The kids all got a bag of Cowpoke Party Mix
I’m not sure what was so funny, but Layla and Heidi had a conversation that pretty much all consisted of giggles. Aidan wants you to know that his horse is “Square”, Layla’s holding “Princess” and Heidi is holding “Jumper”. Aidan is excellent at naming animals.
*See? All giggles. Layla is a big Heidi fan.
Charlene the face painter extraordinaire!
Miss Jorja’s beautiful butterfly
My mother in law found these excellent balloons!
Let me say I was not surprised in the least that Aidan chose Spiderman
Half way there!
How great is she!? He refused to take it off and he keeps asking me to bring up these pictures. I love the spider between his eyes.
*The Happy Birthday banner I made for Layla. It’s supposed to look like handkerchiefs. Please humour me and tell me it does. Also, it cost me 1$ to make!
Dayton chose a super scary one. I’m not sure what to call it, but I like it!
I think he likes it too!
Look at this kitty! How sweet….
Heidi was very specific. She didn’t want a kitten, she wanted a cat.
*My Before and After
The Crew with their faces all done!
Marla’s Hobby Horses. I’m pretty sure these are going to get a lot of use out of them!
Heidi and her mama. Major snaps to Tiffany for getting in the spirit!
I don’t think many friends would be that dedicated xoxo
Layla’s cake! Ya, not as elaborate as Aidans, but for good reason. I needed a friggin RMT massage after Aidans cake. So for the sake of my back, Layla’s got toned down just a tad.
*One of the youngest party goers!
Always a lady….enjoying a piece of cake
*My birthday girl and I. Happy Birthday to my little peanut. Mummy loves you.
Jacqui & Andrew’s Wedding | West Kelowna
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011Jacqui and Andrew’s wedding at Quails Gate in West Kelowna truly was beautiful. I know that word gets thrown around a lot at weddings and especially on wedding blogs, but without a doubt their wedding truly was special. Everyone was happy, and I don’t believe I’ve ever been so welcomed by a group of people. Heck before the ceremony began I had my picture taken with a guest! But this wedding had a very different vibe than any other wedding I’ve ever been to…there were no jitters, no stressing. Just two people very much in love and excited to be getting married, accompanied by their very supportive friends and family.
I have also never seen a groom so enchanted with his bride. I swear, Andrew (or ‘My Polish Prince’ as Jacqui refers to him…awe…) was incredibly adoring on their wedding day. Always kissing her, touching her, kissing her palm, and I do believe I caught him whispering a few “I love you’s” in her ear. The best part is that I never really had to pose them…. They just oozed love. And to top it off I feel I made a new friend in Jacqui.
So here’s to Andrew and Jacqui-quite possibly the MOST in love couple I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet.
The Neilson Family | Vernon BC
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011This is embarrassing to admit, but I’ve never been to Kal Park…I know, I’ve lived here all my life and yet, have never been. The Neilson family and I made a small(ish) hike and found a few beautiful spots overlooking Kalamalka Lake. So a big thank you to them for taking me someplace new
They’re such a gorgeous family it wasn’t hard to get a good picture of them! Oh, and I can’t forget a super cute pup!

Below is my FAVOURITE photo!
I love the next series….
Duncan Keith | Okanagan Life Magazine
Friday, January 14th, 2011Back in July 2010 I did a little photography job. You know….nothing big. I just got to follow Duncan Keith and the Stanley cup (his gold medal and Norris Trophy were there too BTW) no big deal…Clearly I’m joking….It was a great experience and a fantastic day.
Well lookie here! My photos from Duncan Keith Day were featured in an article about Mr.Keith himself! How exciting for me!
And look I’m KIND OF in the magazine as well….those are most definitley my legs in the reflection of the cup
